This type of very lightweight glass can withstand extreme temperatures, high insulation capacity & good hygiene properties. 

These glasses are not mass manufactured, however individually blown of「Borosilicate」glass–exactly like the glass quality used for laboratory beakers because it is resistant to thermal shock. The glasses may come with micro imperfections due to the process.
